About My Path To Grief Coaching

If you have found your way here, chances are you have experienced a loss. It may be the death of a loved one, losing a friend, divorce, or a career shift – grief is the natural reaction to these losses, and processing grief helps us to find great meaning in our sadness.

Through taking an inventory of the grief I have had in my own life, I discovered that my soul’s purpose is to help others find meaning through grief. It is a personal journey but does not have to be walked alone. I want to be there for you as a coach and companion with your grief. Mostly, I want to create a safe place for you to express and explore your sadness.

I am currently in the process of receiving a Master of Science in Mental Health and Wellness, as well as a Grief Coach Certification.

About My Path to Health & Life Coaching

I find humor and beauty everywhere. I focus intently on what matters. I commit to my goals and dreams and I work hard even when “I don’t feel like it.” I am happily married and have strong, kind sons that have grown into men I am proud of. I’ve created a life I love, a career that excites and enriches me, and friendships I cherish. That wasn’t always me…

While I had big dreams, I just didn’t know how to turn them into reality. I knew where I wanted to go, but I couldn’t seem to stick to the actions required in getting there.

I also experienced firsthand how poor health choices affect the lives of those we love, along with our own.

As a little girl, I watched my stepfather go through three heart surgeries. Though his doctor advised him not to consume red meat and other high-saturated fat foods, my mother continued to serve them to him anyway.

I remember how helpless I felt, how much I wanted to plead with my mother not to do it. I longed to see the diet changes that would have saved his life. Only a few years ago, I lost my mother to a broken back, brought on by osteoporosis. What made it even more unbearable was the fact that it could have been avoided with the necessary dietary changes, supplementation, and weight work in the years beforehand.

That’s why from an early age, I was passionate and determined to live a healthy life. Now, I want to help others do the same, to support them in preventing the tragedies that accompany poor health decisions and lifestyle habits.

My Transformation

I have a Masters in Mental Health and Wellness with an Emphasis on Grief, BS in Psychology, am a certified life coach, and a certified Health coach and studying under Megan Devine. Through hard work and the help of great mentors and teachers, I finally discovered what I consider to be the biggest factor of a joyful and successful life: commitment and helping others.

Once I made a commitment to myself and to redesigning my life, change became possible and I found the success I longed for. I continued learning and became a Certified Functional Medicine Coach in 2020.

I found the success I longed for and want to help you do the same.
